Could you still get good grades with that 9 hours/credit hour? Along with EC's? I'm assuming it'd be tough. But then again, it wouldn't be much different from your other classes. If it's the same number of hours I would just pick what's best to get a good grade and then what's easiest to get an A in. That's something your older peers would know better than anyone online.
 
I will need research however, so I just thought taking credit and doing it for research is like two birds one stone kinda thing. But with 9 hours per credit? That's no ordinary bird I'll be hitting
 
The hrs/credit seems a bit odd but if you need research just take 2 credits per term. Which would be ~ 1/2 time research effort (~18 hrs/wk vs 40 hrs/wk @ FTE) per week (which I guess is reasonable)
