Course work counts as leadership?

I took a performing arts class, where I had to help set up and coordinate some classmates to follow a script that I co-wrote. I helped organize a few after school performances too. Can this course work count towards a leadership experience? I felt I did a lot of work to manage these people, but don't know if class work counts towards leadership experiences..

Any opinions?

I would say no.

That is a leadership experience, but not something that is generally viewed as so. Typically, leadership experiences worth mentioning are outside the classroom such as being an officer of club/organization. Teaching a class is an exception, depending on what and how you are doing it, and may be considered leadership.
