Hey so im a sophmore who wont be able to take Ochem until the summer or Fall of my junior year. So my question is...how much of Ochem 2 do i need to know for the MCAT will i do fine only knowning half or a little more than half of Ochem 2???

question 2: should i take Ochem or Physics in the summer??

Look up the o-chem topics on amcas then look at the second half of the o-chem book and compare and contrast. I took physics I this past summer and aced it. I wouldn't take o-chem over the summer.

You'll do more than fine. Ochem 2 is mostly just learning reactions of specific functional groups. As long as you understand reaction basics, which you learn from Ochem 1, you'll be fine for the MCAT. Ochem 2 is covered on the MCAT but the MCAT is focused more on the basics of the reaction and how it applies to different functional groups. As long as you go over all the Ochem 2 reactions and are familiar with them its not necessary to take Ochem 2.

TAKE PHYSICS OVER THE SUMMER... I don't know why someone would want to torture themselves with Orgo over the summer.
