Ok, Paws has ANOTHER question that someone brought up in another thread: should we include a coverletter with our hard copy secondaries? It never occured to me to do this, but someone said s/he did and recommended it and now I am confused ...

Please say no because I don't want to do this, but also say yes, if people think we should really do it ... Drat ! 😕

wow, thats the first time i've een heard that suggested.

nope, no cover letters necessary 😉

It's totally up to you. I included a very short one that listed the things I mailed along w/ the secondary (e.g. check, picture, etc.) . I just wanted to make sure that nothing got misplaced or lost. Either method is fine...don't sweat it.

No, do you have any idea the amount of paperwork that the application process generates? I have been told by various adcoms, "please keep it short and sweet" aka do not just write for the heck of writing. If there is something additional that is NOT covered in your amcas that you feel should be, then by all means do so, but do not just regurgitate the same old song again.

Ok-ee-doke, this is good news for me. 😀

I guess I was tired and what this post-er said kind of threw me.

I agree with short and sweet, and even with Jefferson I really am not sure what my 'extra information' essay will be. These are harder to write that the solid question types.

Thanks guys, phew!

I agree with Efex101.......if you have something to update them on that wasn't on the AMCAS app, then by all means, do so but keep it short and simple.....no going on and on about the same old thing. The admissions process is complicated and time-consuming enough and I have also been told by various med schools that they do not like too much additional paperwork. Hope that helps. Good luck!:clap:
