I'm an out of state student who is looking to take the CPJE this summer. Can anyone provide insight on why there are no dates anywhere across the country for July? I know that there is a QA in August but I would think that at least somewhere in the country would have a date in July available and there are none.

Thanks!

That is exactly my question. Don't want to give the test in August because of the QA and June is too early. I guess all the dates are booked for that month and we need to check for the available date every day, just in case if anybody cancels.

It just makes no sense to me how they offer it 4x a day in 30 locations across the country and not one has one opening.

Hello! I think they block for a whole month of July. Since they just have new format of CPJE exam starting April 1, they need to review the questions after June exam sets. I know there is no way they don't have any open slots in all states if they don't block it.

The same thing happened during the month of May. There were no available dates anywhere in the U.S. The BOP would not say why but after speaking to the PSI reps it sounds like the BOP blocked off the month of May. My guess is that it had to do with the roll-out of the new exam. And maybe the same thing is happening during the month of July.

Hi all, is there anymore updates on exam dates? Since the month of July is blocked off, do you think that the August 1 QA will not happen this year? If the August QA still happens, then people won't be licensed until late September and might not be licensed in time for their residency program. I tried emailing the California board and received an automated message that they won't reply to me. I haven't tried calling yet.

they definitely blocked off the entire month of July.

Not sure.

There is nothing posted on the board's website regarding QA which makes me think there is no QA? I heard they normally post something about it being in the QA period. I took my CPJE August 1 and there were about 9 people taking it at the same time as me which makes me think that 400 people will go by pretty fast anyway.

I don't remember the specific thread but someone posted 1-2 days ago saying they had called the board and they stated that we are NOT in QA

Yup, that was me lol. I took mine on August 1st as well, called up the board yesterday, and they said there is no QA.

Thank you!! This is really excellent to hear.

Out of curiosity, did they extrapolate on it? Like is there going to be a QA?

No worries, I was expecting as such.

I had a lot of really odd questions and one dosing question in particular that I feel like was a real ball buster. I finished early so I don't know if that's a good or bad sign. I'm from out of state so I was already really nervous about taking it. One of the interns at my chain who went to school in California failed so my expectations are kind of low.

Yeah, same here. I feel like I could have studied only a few weeks (vs. the few months that I did study), and the outcome would have been the same: the questions were so random! I felt like I made (educated) guesses on maybe half the test.

I know of 3 people who mentioned that they also failed the test (two this year, one last year). Another way to look at it is that potentially retaking it isn't entirely unheard of.

Yeah, of course. It's not pride reasons that I would be upset that I didn't pass. It would be 1) paying to retake a dumb test that shouldn't even be structured the way it is when every other state treats their law exam as a LAW EXAM and 2) I can't get access to any of my benefits (insurance, vacation, etc) through my work until I am promoted and I can't get promoted until I pass.
