Dear fellow class 007 at UCLA,

I need some of your help. How did you guys go about getting the CPR certification. I have no clue about how or where to get it. I emailed Evelyn, and she wrote back saying that we need to have it by the first day of class, 22nd. Besides that there was no more details. I thought some of you might enlighten me further.

Thank you.

p.s. see you all in a week.

Try looking for the local American Heart Association and see what classes are offered under the title of Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers. Try looking at the Kaiser Permanente site to see what classes they are offering too. Calling local hospitals to see if they have classes offered is another way. Just check around online...that is what I did. See you in a week!

Hi,

I was certified by one of the companies UCLA suggested. It was Healthwatch Training Solutions. Their number is on the checklist UCLA sent us a while back. You can ask them for locations near you and they also have a discount for dental students. I went to a location in anaheim and paid $40. The instructor was very laid back and did not bombard us with memorizing any info!

hope that helps.
