hi, i was wondering how I am supposed to know whether there is a cube in the center of the structure?? answer says there is a cube missing in the center 🙁

rules say if you cant see if a cube is there or not and there are no cubes that would be supported by it... it isnt there. If you cant see it but you see cubes that are supported by the possible cube it is there and you count it... so ya in the picture you should count 12 cubes
 
What he means is if you look at it from the top view you should see this...



The numbers represent how many cubes are stacked on each other.

You guys are thinking that there is 2 cubes stacked on each other in each corner, which is incorrect according to the answer of 11 cubes.

perhaps... you look hard enough you can see it both ways like an optic illusion... anybody have the answer? I dont think they would put one like this on the actual dat?
 
I posted a picture of how I see it... I see 11 cubes...

Maybe why I didn't do well on PAT LOL

The 11th cube is the depicted as the arrow in the picture (bottom of the tall stack)

There arent questions like this on the DAT. The DAT cubes are all straight forward and easy. Ignore the "illusion" questions from CDP and just know the regular questions.
