crack pat cube counting
Started by joonkimdds
if you don't count the center, it should be 12. With center is 13.
center = core of the structure
center = core of the structure
rules say if you cant see if a cube is there or not and there are no cubes that would be supported by it... it isnt there. If you cant see it but you see cubes that are supported by the possible cube it is there and you count it... so ya in the picture you should count 12 cubes
this is an illusion. joonkim, why it cant be in the center, 3 blocks high. thats how i saw it first.
exactly. thank you sir.😎
by the way did you see it like that also.
No, at first I saw it like them. Then read your comment looked back at it like one of those pictures you have to stare at to see it another way and saw it that way.
wait, so are there 11 cubes or 12 cubes???

i think i may be right because maybe the back row should be loweer the way you guys is seeing it.
perhaps... you look hard enough you can see it both ways like an optic illusion... anybody have the answer? I dont think they would put one like this on the actual dat?

I still just see 11 cubes? Am I totally missing the discussion?😕 How many cubes are there total?
I am still thinking there should be 12.
edit: oh wait...I can see both 11 and 12 now.

I got fooled by this one too. From the explanation given, it's 12 cubes (there is no center cube).
There arent questions like this on the DAT. The DAT cubes are all straight forward and easy. Ignore the "illusion" questions from CDP and just know the regular questions.

I had an "illusion" cube question on my DAT...
