I asked my biochemistry professor to write me a LOR. She said that :
I talked about your grade and standing in
class and that you participated a lot and were very engaged in the
material and I talked about some conversations we had about...[non-medical/academic topic]
Is that a crappy LOR?
I also asked my freshman composition prof. to write me an LOR. He told me that "the only questions that they could ask you in regards to my letter is 'Is it true that you are as smart, brilliant and wonderful as Prof. X says?'" It seems like Prof. X wrote some very good things about me(he once told me that I was his best student in 30 years!), but I'm worried that the adcoms might view it as exaggeration. Especially because the other letters are not as great.
