When I calculate CrCl using Cockcroft-gault equation, do I use IBW or actual body weight for a seemingly normal sized patient?


Oh, never mind...I figured it out myself. Thanks anyway...

The study guides that I am using to study for naplex are confusing...one uses IBW, another uses actual weight. I understand that if a pt. is obese...you use the adjusted body wt. equation. And then there are two of those equations...one with 25% and one with 40%.😱 If a pt. is underwt...you use IBW.
