I'm not sure what credit hours mean under the coursework on my AMCAS app. Can I just leave it blank? It's a full credit course (at my school each full course is 0.5 credits), but I don't think putting 0.5 credit hours is accurate.

PS. from Canadian school

Credit and credit hour mean the same thing. Don't leave it blank, as the number of credits is important in calculating your GPA. Just enter what it says on your transcript. The only exception that I am aware of is if your college uses a quarter system rather than a semester system. In that case, you will have to do a conversion: https://www.aamc.org/students/download/181676/data/

AMCAS has a conversion somewhere for schools like yours, where a year is equal to 1 credit. I think the conversion is something like 1 credit = 3 credit hours, but I can't remember off the top of my head. Look in the manual, under where it talks about GPAs.

Edit: My bad, that'll be done automagically by AMCAS, but it can be useful for calculating your GPA. Just enter the 0.5 or whatever is on your transcript:

AMCAS manual said:
Your AMCAS application will automatically convert most undergraduate credit hours (also known as units, hours, etc.) to either semester hours or supplemental hours based on conversions provided by the institutions.

Indicate your credit hours or units exactly as they appear on your transcript even though the field does not have a red asterisk (*). Do not attempt to enter conversions based on the Grade Conversion Guide or any other conversion method.
