I am applying for 2008 and I searched for this question, but got only bits of info, not enough to help me decide.

My question is about my organic chem credits and bio credits

I went to an undergrad with the quarter system and I took a 3 term organic sequence as recommended by my school.
classes
Ochem I - 4 credits
Ochem II - 4 credits
Ochem III- 3 credits
labs
Ochem I - 3 credits
Ochem II - 3 credits <- did not take yet, couldn't fit in schedule

for a total of 17 credits of organic, which is much more than 8 semester hours when converted. I took 14 quarter credits * .66(conversion factor) == 9.3 semester credits > 8 credits required for applying.

Do I need to take the final lab?

I also took a 3 credit bio class at a semester school over the summer back at home (400mi from undergrad), which was ecology and my undergrad school gave me credit, but not a grade, for the intro bio class of the recommended sequence . Interestingly the class I took at the semester school was 3 credits, but I was given credit at my school for 4 in transfer. Dont know how that works, but Ill take it.

I also took biochem which I think is upper division (BIO311). I got a B@4cr.

I took biochem before I took any other bio classes in college, which I wouldn't recommend.

Can I apply with biochem and not have to take the first bio class?
ie

Bio I <- 4 credits, but no grade, grade on transcript from other school@ 3 credits
Bio II <- 4cr
Bio III <- 4cr
Biochem <- 4 cr biochem

I did well in all the classes. my sci gpa is like ~3.57
I am thinking of applying to PCOM sofar.

Most schools require 8 semester hour credits of ochem, with their labs included. Given you haven't taken the second "semester" of ochem lab, I would probably recommend taking it. Of course, if you call the admissions office and they tell you "nevermind," then nevermind.

About the biology, looks like you have bio II/III and an outside credit for bio I (if I'm reading that correctly). I would say you probably have enough biology credits. If you're concerned, take an Human Anatomy or Physiology class (or both) and don't worry about it.

Best of luck!
