just read my email and double checked on aadsas!! YAY 🙂 just have to decide between Creighton and UNMC now!!!

I haven't heard anything from them yet either 🙁.

I know Dr. Ayers gave his business card to some of the interviewees, but not to others. If you got his card, try giving him a call. I'm going to try and mellow out a bit before picking up the phone later today to call schools.

I got an email at 7:18 and by 7:30, my AADSAS said 'offer made'. Hang in there, man. The email was personalized, so they must be sending them one at a time. Maybe they are taking a breakfast break...

no.....im starting to worry now 🙁 Creighton is my number 1!!!! any idea if they send out all of their offers today or through out the week?

Also, do you guys know if the hardcopy acceptance we receive is going to include final signatures and financial info? So exciting!! Can't wait to get that mail!

I don't know. Why don't you give the office a call before they close today? It can't hurt. One-eight-hundred-five-four-four-five-zero-seven-two. I know they said if you don't hear anything on Dec 1, the next one is mid Jan (15th?), so there is still hope.

Oh how could i forget that deposit! lol. I woke up at 12pm and checked my email on my phone even before I got out of bed. Best day ever! Where is everyone from? Chicago here. 🙂

I'm originally from Baltimore, MD, but I live in Oklahoma City right now. If I get into OU, I'm going to have a hard time convincing my wife to move to Omaha....
 
Holla!!! Acceptance to Creighton's IDEP-- Idaho students who will take their 1st year at Idaho State Univ, then join the rest of the Creighton class of 2014 as a D2! 😀😀😀 (There is not a happy face icon big enough to show my excitement)
 
Exited. It is my # 1 school. I live next door to Creighton. I can't wait.

I got in too, yay! I'm really surprised though because I didn't have an interview. I'm just waiting for them to tell me it was a mistake . . .

Does anyone know how much the deposit it?

hey guys, congrats!!!! i'm a d1 right now at creighton. last year, they sent out a hard copy of the conditional acceptance letter. your final acceptance letter comes later(after you turn in your final transcripts, fill out some papers, pay deposit, etc...) the financial aid packet will be sent later as well. you will only get info about deposits and general info about our school. i think the first deposit is $800 and the second is $500. congrats, you guys should celebrate, this is a major achievement!! just don't get anything below C's and relax before school starts. don't even study the summer before. trust me, once school picks up, you will learn it all, no need to get ahead. relax and enjoy your time before you move to omaha. see you all in august

hey guys, don't stress out too much if you didn't get a call. it doesn't mean you are rejected or anything, you still have a good shot at getting in their second wave(jan 15). that's when I got in... after your finals for the fall quarter/semester have been updated, update them with the school. if you do well, it may help you and maybe even get you in. i think that's all you can do now at this point. i'm not too sure but i think they accept 2/3 of the class on dec.1 and the rest fills in their second wave... good luck guys!

I didn't hear from Creighton yesterday. Dr. Ayers said that we would hear either way on Dec 1 i though??

Hey, there's a lot of places to choose from here in omaha. what's good about omaha is that the cost of living is pretty cheap...almost everyone lives within 15 mins of the school. some good places are Village Green, River Park, Tip Top... those are the first ones that come off the top of my head, MANY students live in there. i'll ask some of my classmates and i'll get back to you on this one. there's some crazy snow in omaha now.. 10 inches! besides the bad weather now, omaha is awesome! and of course the school, as you know already, is awesome. i don't have to tell you since you already know from doing research before applying. they are extremely strong clinically. there's no specialty programs so students handle all cases. there's also more patients than you can handle. if they took one of you guys and you were to start today, you'll be booked for the next month b/c there's just so many patients. school is super busy but you learn to adjust to it. my class is pretty smart, the averages are very high and i don't think anyone is failing. creighton does a good job teaching and they try hard to help students learn and succeed... haha sorry for rambling... let me know if you have any more questions

Um... hi. I have a crucial question. Did you all apply to the DDS program or the pre-dental program? I'm really scared that I may not have gotten accepted. If someone could clear this up for me I would REALLY appreciate it 🙂 Thank you!

so, has anyone heard anything about the second round? I assumed it would be today but I haven't seen a single post regarding january acceptances. any ideas? thanks 🙂

I called them today, they said they sent out acceptances through email this morning. I didn't get one either. They said they sent out enough to fill the class. If there were any openings left they'd send out more mid Feb.

It's rather frustrating!! cmcner would you happen to know why instead of putting us in the waiting list they decided that we should just wait for the february round? Could it be that maybe they're waiting for some of us to update our DAT/GPA? Or something?

Does anyone here have a clue? I'm just confused as to why not the waiting list. I would really appreciate any insights!!

I also received the "class is full/would you like to be considered for a position on the alternate list" email this morning.
 
I just got a call from Dr. Ayers asking if I'd like to interview for a spot in their master's program. has anyone heard about this? he said they'd interview 6 people for 4 spots, and they're offering it to people who have applied to dental school, are qualified, but just couldn't make it work this cycle. it's my understanding that once you complete the program you have a guaranteed spot in the dental program when it's over. anyone else? 😳
 
I currently live in Omaha and am moving to the Midtown Crossing apartment complex in June and am looking for a female roommate. I have already signed a lease to hold a spot and my original roommate accepted a job in another state. It is a two bedroom two bath for a total of $1012. W/D included, each room is temp controlled, garage is $85/month but you can opt to do street parking, concierge services included. First month is free or pro-rated over 6 months and they will pay for your moving expenses. If you live in Omaha they will actually move you, if not then you will receive a Visa gift card.(http://midtowncrossing.com/apartments-omaha) it is about a 2 minute drive to campus. They are brand new and also allow pets. I have a 3 year old golden mix. I am extremely clean and am looking for a clean roommate as well. It is also located above restaurants, bars, and shopping.
