Headed to Creighton in the fall and want to know what an average weekly schedule is like. All the schedules are password protected on the school site, so I have looked to no avail. Anyone that would PM with this information I would really appreciate it. Thanks

Somebody from Omaha must be on here screwing around like the rest of us!

They throw many boatloads of information at us...i feel like its harder than other medical schools- the final exams this year have been absolutely ridiculous. I'm getting so burnt out by medical school. I need a break. 🙁

Yes someone else in Omaha is screwing around on here instead of studying endocrine disorders. 🙂

Congrats on getting into med school...

I will try to remember to PM you tomorrow with a copy of the M1 schedule for one of the weeks from last semester. I'm studying at University of Nebraska Medical Center library tonight and can't access it from here... long story.

Wait until neuro. 🙁 Truly though, you'll get through it, I promise. I'm a slacker and somehow I made it.

Anyhoo, I have a decent number of friends at UNMC (the other med school in Omaha) and I personally think their courseload/exams are way harder. Not to mention being graded on a z-scale... which might be good sometimes but I think having an objective cut off for passing (i.e. 70%) is kind of nice.

Thanks for your time, I'll look forward to your PM.

I'm not a 1st year. I'm in your class.

Sorry, I didn't realize anyone else from my class wasted time on here. Cool though. 🙂

I will also be attending Creighton in August and have had the same trouble trying to get a sample schedule of somekind. Is there a chance I could get one from one of the current students? Take care and thanks.

Same here too. A schedule from last semester would be really helpful. You can PM me. Thank you!

Damn right! 😎 😉

I get the feeling y'all are gonna keep coming out of the woodwork so I'm just posting a sample schedule instead of PM'ing it to everyone. I tried to pick a "fairly representative" week... but in reality every week is a little different, but this should give you an idea. I left out the individual lecture titles because it's not really important to just give you an idea of the schedule.

Monday:

8:00 - 9:00AM - MCB I
9:00 - 10:00AM - Ethics
10:00 - 11:00AM - Ethics
11:00 - 12:00PM - MCB I
12:00 - 1:00PM - Lunch
1:00 - 2:00PM - Anatomy
2:00 - 5:00PM - Anatomy Lab

Tuesday:

8:00 - 9:00AM - MCB I
9:00 - 10:00AM - MCB I Small Group (half the class)
11:00 - 12:00PM - Interviewing/Physical Examination
12:00 - 1:00PM - Lunch
1:00 - 2:00PM - Interviewing/Physical Examination
2:00 - 3:30PM - Interviewing Small Group
5:00 - 6:00PM - Physical Exam Practice Session @ Hospital

Wednesday:

8:00 - 9:00AM - MCB I
9:00 - 10:00AM - Ethics
10:00 - 11:00AM - Ethics
11:00 - 12:00PM - Anatomy
12:00 - 1:00PM - Lunch
1:00 - 5:00PM - Anatomy Lab

Thursday:

8:00 - 9:00AM - MCB I
9:00 - 10:00AM - MCB I Small Group (the other half of the class)
11:00 - 12:00PM - MCB Review Session

Friday:

8:00 - 11:00AM - Multi Disciplinary Quiz (MDQ)A
11:00 - 12:00PM - Anatomy
12:00 - 1:00PM - Lunch
1:00 - 2:00PM - Anatomy
2:00 - 5:00PM - Anatomy Lab

Notes:

MCB I = Molecular and Cell Biology I

Don't get anxious about seeing a quiz from 8-11; the class takes quizzes and exams in two halves, so in reality you'd only be busy for half that time. Also, throughout all of anatomy I was NEVER once in anatomy lab the entire time allocated. 🙂

Thanks -- looks yummy!
