Did anyone else receive an email from Creighton today? In the email I got it said the class was full, but that I was fully qualified and if I was not accepted to other schools that I should reply to the email to be considered for an alternate spot. Do they ever accept anyone from the alternate list, and if so how many and when?
 
I also received the email, but I can't answer your question about the alternate list, sorry!
 
got the email too. thought i would get an offer from creighton this year. I won't be asking for a waitlist spot.

I got the email too. I was super bummed because I hoped to get an acceptance this week. Hopefully I will be getting an alternate spot.
 
I got it also. I didn't have an interview there, but I see that some of you have and some haven't. Will they accept people without an interview. I thought they discontinued that???

I interviewed, but it is still not mandatory to receive an acceptance.

I got the email too. I didn't interview there either. I do know someone that got accepted there this year without interviewing however. He was pretty shocked.

I got that email but since I already have an acceptance I really don't care.

I got one today too... however what are the chances of getting accepted out of alternate list? I havnt been accepted anywhere so I hope that those who have already been accepted at other places understand my situation and leave room for me.. giving me a chance of getting accepted. this whole waiting time is driving me crazy 🙁
 
I got it too, and I didn't interview. I've already accepted VCU though, so I won't be emailing them back.
 
i heard u have to where shirt and tie to class everyday there...even as a first year............that would suck sooooooooo bad............they have a waitlist for the waitlist...its ******ed.....whoever responds and says they want on the waitlist, ......which is usually a couple hundred people, are considered for the real waitlist which boils down to like 20 or 30 people....one, mabye 2 or 3 at max. actually get accepted from the waitlist. goodluck?

I got this e-mail last year with no interview either and yes, from this alternate list they will make another list and then they'll pick from the second list. I did get to the second list but never received an acceptance letter. This year, however, I did interview there and also got accepted...I think there is hope for those in that situation this year...If you got that e-mail, and haven't been accepted anywhere yet, just answer back and see if you make it to the second list. If they never accept you and you don't get an acceptance for this application cycle, just apply to Creighton again next year and make sure you let them know, on your new application and secondary application that you were on their alternate list before. It will show them your interest in the school and they'll probably accept you.

I'm glad you got into Loma Linda, I go the email as well, Creighton's my dad's alma mater but I don't care, I got into UofL and I'll stay put here. They're both good programs and Louisville showed loyalty towards me and I plan to return the favor.
 
I actually got the same email ... Got the same email last year as well! I made it to the second list last year. However I started at 12 and ended at 7. So there is hope but slim! Good Luck to all ... and to me 🙂

They actually tell you your ranking on the said list?
 
Congratulations to everyone accepted already. I wish I was in the same boat. I guess I'll have to settle for a waitlist spot for the waitlist.😳
 
Do they actually rank you on the waitlist? And does anyone know how they rank people on the waitlist or is it just random?

last i heard they rank you based on your rapping skillz.....its kinda like American Idol but the judges consist of a panel of MS13 members....if accepted you have to install their new grills for free....also, no MC Hammer covers allowed.....Ice T covers are allowed but u have to pretend to be a detective......anything remotely close to Beck is also off limits....

Are you all serious? no, there is no ranking on the waitlist.....it says so very clearly in the email. Here is a section from it. I DID NOT underline and bold unranked..... it was like that in the email. lol

Committee to review again the files of all applicants responding to this email during March and April and select a diverse group of 30, unranked, individuals for a position on the alternate list.
 
This email should be coming withing a few weeks for this cycle for all those awaiting news from Creighton.
 
You waiting to hear from creighton too reo?? I am still under review (my app was semi-late) and I'm hopin' to pull out an acceptance :scared:
 
Creighton is one of the schools that I havent heard much from ...
 
I called and news is suppose to start 2/15, at least that is when the deadline is to accept/reject acceptances... Then I assume the next batch will be going out shortly thereafter. :xf:

Same here... kinda weird. Only school I applied to that hasn't contacted me whatsoever. I think I got a single page in the mail confirming my app was complete forever ago. Odd nonetheless.
 
From what I've read on here, supposedly they have filled their classes with the first 2 rounds of acceptances for the past 5 years or so. I am hoping this isn't true...
 
Well I received an email at 7:30 this morning that I needed to respond for an alternate spot. Anyone else get this little email as well?

My email just says that I am no longer considered. (rejected) yay~
 
I recieved the email alternative list email today also. Interviewed in Sept.

This is first time hearing from them since submitted application & it's Rejection... Funny...

Rejection here! at least it was same day as my interview somewhere else so a good high has a bad low to go with it.

Already accepted to top schools... What kind of school puts people on alternate lists without interviews. Thanks but no thanks.
