Creighton: No invite --> Dec. 1 Acceptance?

I was reading in another Creighton thread that sometimes they just accept some applicants on Dec. 1 without any prior notification or interview invite, specifically when these applicants have superb stats and an overall great application. Can anyone attest to this?

Still no invite from them, just a completed application notification. It'd be great to get accepted on Dec. 1 but to make people wait until then without any notification of the school's interest seems almost like torture

I haven't heard anything about that situation. I know that up until a few years ago, Creighton didn't require interviews, but I'm pretty sure that they are required for admission now...

i dunno bout this. i know a girl whos in her 2nd or 3rd yr at umdnj and she was interviewed at creighton.

In the ADEA 2011 Book it says the following:

Interview is mandatory: No
Interview is by invitation: Yes

So, it looks like they interview some and accept some without interviewing them😀

Yeah, I'm pretty sure Creighton is the only school that does not require an interview. I was thinking that maybe they send invites to everyone they would like to accept, but it's not necessarily a requirement to attend the interview. However, it sounds like they don't even send interviews to everyone they plan to accept... which is weird because I would think they would at least want to let the applicant know that the school is interested in them, and give them the opportunity to be a part of the interview process (school tour, etc.).

To clarify, it's not that they don't do any interviews at all, but rather it's not a strict requirement to attend if you are invited.

I actually know my dentist got into Creighton without an interview 10 years ago.

My cousin was the same way, but that was when they didn't do interviews at all. I think about 5 years back or so they started offering interviews.

They do still offer acceptances to people that they did not invite for interviews.
