I am deciding between Creighton and Temple. I visited Omaha for a weekend around my interview and it seemed pretty quiet. Philly on the other hand seemed like a very exciting place and I had a blast when I visited . I'd like to visit Omaha again before I make my final choice. On one hand I feel like I should attend the stronger institution (creighton) that could broaden my experiences and on the other I also want to have a great time with the next four years of my life. How important are the differences in rankings of these pharm.d. programs?

my personal opinion is that the rankings are not that important right now with the severe shortage of pharmacists. Temple, although not as good in the rankings as nearby USP and Rutgers, has not had any problem placing pharmacists at competitive salaries from what I've heard. If someone knows otherwise feel free to enlighten me.

Maybe something else to ask is where do you want to work when you get out, the northeast, midwest, or somewhere else. It might save you a lot of travel headache in the future, and maybe going to a school in the region you plan on working in will make you more appealing as a job applicant. Just speculation.

I live in Philly and think it's great so I'm biased. There's so much to do here, and it's only around two hours from new york.

I don't know what your residency status is, but for PA residents temple tuition is around 8k lower than creighton I believe.
