Creighton OTD program 2013 cohort

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
My interview is in April/May! 🙂

good luck!! I was very impressed with the staff and facility. I think you'll like it.

When was your interview? And how was it? I am really looking forward to it but this is my first interview so I am so nervous!

Hey Chicken! When was your interview? I had mine in January and was wait-listed so Im just wondering where they are at in accepting students. Congrats!

I interviewed in January. The interview process was really great. There were about 30-40 other candidates. You listen for a bit and meet some of the staff, then break off into groups. Depending on the order, you'll have your interview, a tour of the facility, and a student panel, where you'll get to ask current OT students any questions you have. They know that they are interviewing very nervous candidates, so i'll just say, it's ok to be nervous! They understand if you fumble on a question.... and I really like how it is closed file interviews. meaning, they only know your name and where you went to school for your undergrad. So whatever you'd like to "showcase" to them, make sure to mention it to them. 🙂 Good luck mgOT, you'll be great! let me know if i can answer any other questions.

OThopeful; we had the same interview date then! I'm not sure where they're at with the acceptances. I think they interview until March or April? I wish I knew the answer for you though! Best of luck, but if I hear anything, I will be sure to post something on here!!

Chickenadobo, thank you for encouragement! I did not know they have 'closed file interview' because don't they ask specific questions from your application? How many faculty member(s) interviewed you? I spoke to a couple people over the phone and they were all very friendly. Are you from the Midwest? Are you going to Creighton?

OThopeful: the last interview is May which I was invited to, and the counselor told me "there are plenty of spots left" but not sure exactly how much. They are still giving out decisions to March interviewees.

I think they make it a closed file interview because they want to get to know you as a person, not necessarily what you have on paper, which I think is great. Everyone is on the same "level" when walking into the interview. I was interviewed by a faculty member and a 2nd year OT student. I'm from the west coast. and yes, I have decided to go to creighton. 🙂

How long did you wait for an acceptance letter ? I had the interview in February and haven't heard anything? But the staff is very helpful and I would def love to attend CU!

I waited 3 weeks for mine. I've heard that it could take up to 5 weeks, so they might still be deciding! 🙂

Does anyone know how full the class is right now? My interview is in May, the very last group, and I probably won't hear until around Memorial Day weekend, which is pretty late compare to other schools.

I'm still waiting for my letter of acceptance/rejection but from what the counselor told me it seems like there are still some spots. If you call though I bet he would tell you. He's a real nice guy.

When I asked David Belieu, he doesn't know exactly how many seats are available. This due to the fact that they have a number of students who have yet to inform them of their decisions. Not so helpful Who did you get in touch with?

I applied at to Creighton at the very end (last few days of February... not good, I know!) and am yet to hear anything at all, not even an acknowledgement that my application is complete. The supplemental website says everything was submitted which is why I was not too concerned (and the status of my application was updated as recently as last week), but should I be?
Also, does anyone know if Creighton is a school where they wait to send all rejections out until they're done with their whole admissions cycle or do they notify everyone a few weeks after they submit their applications?

Since your application was completed and submitted at the end of February, I would give another week, or give them a call. When I called them, they were so kind to tell me to wait a week or 2. I did not get any confirmation email after my application was completed in mid-Feb but then they sent me an invitation to interview at the beginning of March. Most of the members on this forum who were interviewed earlier already got their decisions so Creighton participates in a rolling admission.

Just received my phonecall by someone from staff that I have been accepted to creighton! I'm super excited and ill be moving from the northeast so this wil be a drastic change. For those who are still waiting dont lose hope. This is my second year applying and I got wait listed for some of my schools and finally got accepted to a doctorates program. Don't lose hope for those still waiting. Be persistent and show how much you want to attend.

Has anyone heard about March 1st interviews. They were suppose to meet last Thursday and make more decisions. Thanks for any information

Hello everyone, I have my interview at Creighton scheduled on May 3rd, I know that is rather late but it was the only available slot. Can anyone tell me was the interview was like, what they're response was and if they are full or not at either campus (Anchorage or Omaha)?
