I was just wondering if anyone here who has any kind of criminal record has ever had it brought up during an interview or been turned away from a med-school because of it?

it really depends on what it is... but for sure it will be brought up in the interview if you report it (you basically have to, since i know several schools require background checks before matriculation).

Can they prove it wasn't your evil twin brother, who has no record of ever existing. Mine sure keeps messing me up.

Doesn't this need to be addressed on the primary app?

well, has anyone ever had it dropped from their record because they did community service to get it off but they somehow found it still?

If you got the charges ultimately dismissed by some diversion program, check on getting the record expunged. It depends on the state your in and the charges. Go speak with a lawyer about it and see your options. I wouldnt expect anymore guidance then that from this site though, everyone here will just tell you "youre screwed", when that may not be the case.
p.s. dont get into a frenzy over internet advice, go talk to a lawyer soon, so at least you can have an idea about how you have to handle your situation.

Agreed! If this is something that you believe could prohibit your accpetance to medical school, then consulting a lawyer would be wise. It would be sad to see someone work hard and some (assuming minor) silly infraction keep them from their dream.
