Don't use HY biochem or immuno--I believe Kaplan is better for biochem and possibly for immuno, Lange for immuno would be good too, I'm sure there are other books that other SDNers have found to be good as well. I believe that there is a thread on here already debating which book to use for biochem--check that out. Consider using Goljan RR for path, although not if you're already familiar with BRS path. Try to glance through the book store's HY behavioral sciences and/or biostats. Unless you've got a great foundation in pharm and micro, add something for those subjects (Lange or MRS for micro, pharm cards or something else for pharm). HY histo may not be necessary. Make sure you do questions as well, robbins review of path is a good question source that is in book-format.

Ginger are you referring to the Kaplan LNs? Don't you think their biochem is too long and will be difficult to use for review? I went through it once, and it's good for learning the stuff, but for review i find it too long so i decided to switch to HY since it's more concise.

For me personally, biochem was way too long ago and reading kaplan's biochem book (what I used, dunno if its the same as the LNs) was a great review as well as a bit of relearning. I decided to use it after reading rave reviews for it from other SDNers, and I can say I'm very happy I did use it. It fit well in my schedule and only took me about 2 days to get through, which wasn't too long IMO but maybe thats just me. If you've read Kaplan recently though, then I'm not sure if you need any more review than whats in FA, although HY couldn't hurt. I guess my advice was for people in a similar situation, i.e. biochem more than a year ago and wanting a single review book.
