I have a question please. I had some troubles addressing SPs with their names for 3-4 cases. I forgot to do some tests that are required in some cases. Plus, I am not sure about the diagnosis or one case as it was really confusing with general symptoms, nothing was specific. So would you be able to tell me considering these points, do you think I will pass?

Thanks, and any comment is appreciated.

They might cost a couple points if the SP even caught those details, but they don't seem like deal-breakers. Remember the exam isn't really a test of whether you can actually diagnose the patient, but rather that you can properly draw out information, develop a plan based on the information you gathered, and express that plan both to the patient and in writing.

One thing I did to remember names was just write the last name on the paper while reviewing the doorway information and jotting down my mnemonic for the interview. Helped me out as I would give one last thoughtful look at my clipboard, look at the patient, smile, and say "It was very nice meeting you Mr/Ms. *Last Name*". 😀

thats kind of the point with this test isnt it? nothing in real life is as obvious as a written question would make it seem. it wouldnt be much of a test if most of the pt had presentations similar to abd pain starting periumbilical and localized to RLQ.

as long as your d/dx is supported by your h and p, you'll be fine

Thank you. In fact I am really worried about it, though I don't like thinking too much about it as I'm studying for ck. I am supposed to have cs result starting August 15-September 2, if I am not wrong.

Let's wait crossing our fingers

August 15th...me too!

I forgot to summarize on 1 or 2 patients, used most of the time on the majority of patients so I had very little for the "sharing information" part at the end, forgot to ask about meds/allergies on one and write meds/allergies on another PN. Futhermore, my 11th patient I started with the painful extremity and forgot to pull out the foot rest...😱

Here's to hoping/praying that I'm not in the 3-4% that don't pass!

I'll say some prayers for you too mie820

Thanks a lot. I won't forget you in my prayer. I wish you pass with high performance.

I don't like my worry gets me out of the mood to study for ck. Moreover, materials I wanna study from makes me more stressed. I have been looking for something to be comprehensive beside doing UW. I guess I will be going with MTB for step 3 as it summurize kaplan LN, at least not narrative way like kaplan that drives me nuts. Do you think if I used MTB for step 3 plus UW, I would be able to get a decent solid score?

I may add step up to medicine, but heard it is really long, and I don't want to waist time reading, I would rather solve questions.

Thanks again
