So my test is the 24th in Houston... still on or no? I'm a bit amiss as to who to call an dI'll probably be calling towards the end of the week regardless.. but if anyone ca provide me w/some info, it'd be much appreciated.

You'll be fine, I called earlier today and i was told they are only rescheduling those until the 19th. I'm taking it early October and they said there should not be any problem. They are expecting to send out e-mails today at the latest to those who will need to reschedule.

I don't know about. Your test is on Sep 24, and the electric company in Houston (Centerpoint Energy) states that they will not be finished restoring power to downtown Houston till after the Sep 22, but there is no definite date for complete restoration.

Houston has been very, very slow in repairing the damage done due to Hurricane Ike. They still are not letting people in the downtown areas because many buildings have windows blown out that need to be repaired once electrical services and other basic utilities are re-established.
