Hey guys!

Does anyone know what optometry schools think about C's on transcripts. I had a couple of down falls and struggled in a few pre-req classes. I still have a 3.56 GPA, and I was really involved in a variety of EC activities during undergrad. I've shadowed quite a few optometrists in different settings (commercial, private, community, etc.), and I also work for an optometrist. I have a lot of community service hours, especially related to vision-related activities since my sorority's philanthrophy was "Service for Sight." I'm not a good test-taker so I don't know how the OAT is going turn out. I am taking it on Aug 20th. I've already applied to schools so I could be considered an "early" applicant. Still think I have a chance of getting in? I could use all the advise/help.

Thanks!

Better if you have A or B's. As long as there not all in the same subject and or area you should be okay with all the LOR's you get from those Optometrists. The more different types of settings your in are definetly a plus for experience . On your app list all the EC's you did that are related to vision. You can take the OAT more than once so chill. Good luck and Hope you get in as a Early. 🙂 hehe
