CSU Fullerton Pre-Health Program Interview

Hello everyone,
I'm new to sdn and am applying to CSU Fullerton's pre-health post bacc program this fall. I received an email requesting for an interview and was wondering if anyone has any experience with their interview process. I have a pretty solid GPA and a good amount of clinical and work experience so I'm not sure if there is something wrong with my application or if it's just a formality now that they require interviews because I have never heard of CSU Fullerton doing interviews before. Any insight and help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

I went to their info session last semester and they said they were changing that aspect and that interviews are new this year. Good luck to you! Im not sure how exactly they are going to do it.

Hello, by now I'm sure you have already interviewed. In case you have not, this was my experience:

I showed up suited and looked as professional as possible. I also brought a small folder with a notepad and a few copies of my resume, in anticipation of being interviewed with a panel, which was not the case. I spoke only with the coordinator and the whole interview was very informal. She asked to talk about myself, which I replied by describing why I wanted to do the post bacc, then just a few more questions regarding my research and volunteer work. Like most interviews, I had questions about the program like finance, alumni success, and so forth. At the end of the interview, she extended the offer to me to join the cohort and sent out an official letter later in the day confirming the offer.

To me, the interview seemed more like a formality but who knows, that was only my particular case. Good luck to you. If you got in, I look forward to seeing and studying with you in the Fall.
