Hey everyone!

Ill be starting vet school at CSU in the fall and I was wondering where people here have gotten their rabies vaccines done. I posted this on the pre-vet forum already, but I thought there might be some people on here that have found reasonably priced places in colorado to get the series done. 🙂

I think most of us have gotten it done at the health center here at school. That way you can apply it to your student account and use student loan money to pay for it!

Some people in my class had them done at Walgreen's - they are apparently part of the AVMA health insurance network and the shots there cost $25 each for AVMA-insured people.

If you're insured through a private insurance company, check with them to make sure they will or won't pay for the series - a lot of insurance companies follow the CDC vaccination guidelines, and those guidelines do recommend the prophy rabies series for people who work closely with animals. (My insurance company (Tricare) paid for my series.)
