Looking for a cardiothoracic anesthesiologist to join our group at Virginia Mason in Seattle. We have three cardiac surgeons and do 400 pump cases (several complex cases), busy structural heart program with over 400 cases, mechanical support including ECMO, and have a residency program. Until someone proves otherwise, usually when someone says competitive for the area, it’s not competitive nationally.

Chill. It’s WA. No state income tax. Great location. I almost went to Tacoma for some cardiac only locums. Would consider that position if I wasn’t where I am now.
I think VM/Franciscan pumped a bunch of money into their anesthesia departments the last couple of years.
There has been some turmoil with the merger, but hospital systems learn from those mishaps.
