However the patient has decreased renal function, ie. creatinine is elevated to 2mg/dl in serum. Would they be able to handle contrast? I think not.

So is there any contraindications for PET scans in terms of reduced renal function? What about contraindications for PET scans in general?

Just curious, plus we have a case related to this on the wards. Thanks.
