Cube Counting: are there 4 or 3 per diagram?

There is no exact answer for this... it would depend on the overall question...I have seen questions varying from 2 to 5...

One way you can identify this is by scrolling through the questions before attempting to solve it...u might lose 20-30 secs doing that but that is worth doing only if you can save that time using ur different strategies...

just curious...why not stick with one technique...

hmm i never thought of that, that could be quite useful and only count the cubes that have those specific number of sides, like if u are using a tally system
 
To be safe, just count all of them. Takes at most 30 seconds to count a medium sized figure, anyways. I always count twice to make sure I counted correctly.

Seriously, you don't want to make a little mistake and lower your PAT score by like 2. It's really easy to lose many points at cube counting if you aren't paying attention 🙂
