Another thread mentioned "vacation" schedules for nova and sco. Can current students provide info for other schools, especially OD1 and OD2 years?

NOVA:
thanksgiving - 2 days
xmas - 3.5 weeks for OD1 and OD2
spring break - 1 week
summer break - OD1 6+ weeks before summer term starts
OD2 2 weeks before clinic starts
plus - about 1 day/month for "other" or faculty retreat

SCO:
thanksgiving - 2 days
xmas - 2 weeks
spring break - 1 week
summer break - 1 week between spring and summer
1 week between summer and fall
plus - mlk, july 4

we got a week off for thanksgiving this year, but i heard it depends on when in the quarter it falls. because of that, our christmas break was 2 weeks only. 2 days for spring break, and we get ~3 months off for our first summer

So, is the (entire) summer after the second school-year spent in clinic?

hey cloud, I was wrong earlier - we get the entire week off for Thanksgiving. My brain has stopped working evidently. 🙂

UABSO is pretty much the same as SCO listed above.

UABSO is pretty much the same as SCO listed above.

So UABSO only gets 1 week off for the summer?
