I am heavily considering pod school. I was wondering for current pod students after going through schooling and residency if you guys regret your choice or did it affirm your love of podiatry? After working I notice that I desire balance life (not high pace nor very stressful environment), work for myself since I always felt like I am a businessman, I enjoy helping people and like to have a personal connection with them, don't like to treat patients as they are just some number.

Dear poopsmcgeethe3rd,

How many alternate accounts do you have? And are you planning on making these pointless threads using all of them?

1) My gpa is low 3.0-3.1 and 2.8 science gpa I just graduated from a good undergrad and majored in neuroscience. (dkgrubby)"

2) I'm 22 graduated from a good college 6 months ago but have a 3.0 cgpa with 2.8scgpa in biopsychology and just been working ever since i graduated. (abc245)

3) Graduated from a good uni gpa is 3.03 overall and 2.7 or 2.8 science gpa in biopsychology. Unmotivated through college, simply just got by, and did not know what direction I wanted to take but I knew I wanted healthcare. I am 22 I graduated college 6 months ago worked in retail just to get some money (poopsmcgeethe3rd)

You seem desperate for direction. What you're doing right now though, is akin to me asking a residency program "should I do my residency here?" Here's some advice. Go shadow an actual podiatrist. And for the love of god, when you are shadowing please don't ask the doctor "can you tell me whether I should pick podiatry?" This is the real world. At some point you need to stop looking for people to hold your hand.

How are CURRENT podiatry students supposed to know if they've made a great long term career choice and how much they enjoyed their residency and postgraduate practice???
