Simple question....

I am currently a preliminary resident in surgery and trying to apply for Anesthesiology residency for 2009.
Do I apply (check box) for Categorical or Advanced?

If you check categorical that means you are going to do another PGY-1 year if you get admitted.

Categorical if you're willing to repeat PGY-1.

Otherwise you should contact programs directly to see if they have PGY-2 (CA-1) openings for next year.
