Hey all,

I'm going to print my CV and personal statement for residency interviews on resume paper and wanted to get some thoughts on whether or not I should print it myself or have it printed at a place like Office Depot or Staples, etc.

Thanks!

There is zero reason to print it on resume paper. If you want to print it for yourself so you can refresh your memory of what’s on your application prior to the interview, by all means. But everyone else who cares what’s on your CV /personal statement will already have it.

Agree. Not sure where this really dumb idea comes from. I think anyone who brings a CV to a residency interview looks like an idiot. They already have it.

The reason why I am is because it was highly stressed by our Dean of Student Affairs.

You should absolutely print copies of each to potentially hand either to any interviewers but there is ZERO reason to print it on fancy paper.

I didn’t bring a CV but I did bring a 1 page resume which is much easier to glance over during an interview. I offered it if it came up naturally and while most turned it down, several took it and expressed their appreciation.

but those interview day cuties you might meet don’t

This guy's thinking outside the box.

Ya'll could learn a thing or two from him.

What, you mean the students that are interviewing with you? Bro they probably got a bigger CV than you. I wouldn't use the interview as a time to have a macho man contest
