...except we have all damn day to read them, clear them out, go get coffee and take a leak. Meanwhile, at CVS, they just filled 100 scripts.

The hospital I used to work at...was actually more hectic than a lot of CVSs.

I came to CVS and actually thought the pace was sort of nice the first day.

Today I got one that stated hctz and metformin were duplicate therapy. It was from the third party and level 1. So wtf I got paranoid and went back and triple checked everything

You should have gotten a soft stop from Rx Connect indicating the HCTZ should be used with cation id diabetes since it has the tendency to increase BS levels...

Heads up, there's a major DUR computer system update to take place soon.

Filled with mandatory DUR comment entry for completely irrelevant issues (day supply rounding, insurance limits, no allergy info, out-of date meds filled more than a year ago, etc.). There will be even more alert fatigue to sift through but on the plus side, there will be mandatory documentation for relevant drug issues.

Feel free to express any opinions, pent up rage, & frustration.
On the bright side, I don't think this update is nearly as bad as the On-Hold Verification update.

The on-hold verification was implemented to give us the option to transfer hold scripts to other pharmacies or CVS stores. Think it's a fair tradeoff

No, it's not. Transfer the image with it and they can verify at the receiving store. It's a huge time waster and queue blocker.

Based on past consulting work I'd say check your state regulations on this. In many states this is ok - I think there is atleast one state that requires any prescription data entered by a remote pharmacy to be verified by a local pharmacist prior to the information being made available centrally. This was years ago though so things may have changed and again it might not be relevant in all states.
