CVS New Hire classes for Interns

I am wondering how long are these hiring classes? I was told that there would be two classes in two different days. Does anybody know how long it will last for each class? What do we do there? Can someone who went through the so-call-training tell me more about it?

I am talking about Southern CA here.

are these classes specifically for interns? or just general training classes for all new hires?

i remember attending general training classes that took up to 3 hours. the person in charge gave us packets w/ info + scenarios and we went over it together as a group. it was just for learning about pick up/drop off/filling.

if you're talking about classes specifically for interns then i have no idea. i've been an intern for the past year and have attended no such classes. lol.

I actually don't know. I was just told to go to those classes on specific dates. Maybe I should ask ...

These are the classes for all new hires. They aren't intern specific. How long they take is really upto the person who is teaching that "class". Mine only took about an hour or so for each one but like said above, they can take upto 3 hours. Yours will most likely not but you just never know.

I interviewed for an intern position about a week back and when I made a follow up call yesterday, i was askotp wait for HR to get in touch with me. Can you give me a timeline of the hiring process in your case?

Unfortunately it takes alot longer than one would think. I was hired in early may (4th I think) and am still waiting...I called the DM to get some more info and she said they are waiting for the background check to clear. I'll let you know when I hear further

Thanks! This helps! In my case I have not even heard from HR. So not even sure if I will be hired or not. Will just have to wait I suppose.
