As bad as CVS is, CVS is not on last financial legs like Kmart.

take CVS. It's a solid company and their stock continues to go up. They have a sweet Employee Stock Purchase Plan. The also have car discounts and many other perks. I personally would not touch Kmart with a 10 foot pole.
