Question!!

How does vacation for salaried rphs at CVS?? is vacation included or not. Also, They offer me a set amount for 38 hrs a week, does they mean I only work for 38 hours or will need to work more than 38 hours? I am so confused. Never have a salary in my life as a RPH. Are they trying to covert all rphs to salary now?

Salary RPh are exempt employee under FLSA. 38 hours is your base. CVS will pay you at least 38 hours/week guaranteed. You can work off the clock but cvs won’t pay you for it unless it is your scheduled hours. As far as your vacation, it’s base on your hours per week.

See now my experience with that was that if you didn't work your hours you weren't getting paid, even though considered salaried. The district I was in (NY) they busted balls with that stuff. They didn't follow a "we'll pay you and you just make up the hours" format. Especially if your base was 38 but you rotated every two weeks, and one week was 32 and the other was 44. They wanted specific hours that you worked that week and then busted balls if you worked the 32 and got under your base.

so does that mean if they only scheduled you 30 hours then you are only getting paid for that 30hr worked? man, why so complicated?
Did you have PTO/vacation hours or sick day? How did that work for you? I talked to several people from different companies... I guess it is all different based on different companies.

I don't think it's a company thing, I think it's a PDM thing. My first one said **** it, submit your base and you get paid your base weekly. Second boss followed by the book and wanted accurate hours worked weekly. It was an argument every week with the women that did payroll. It was impossible to schedule the base exact on a weekly basis, especially when we rotated every third weekend.
