So... there was a manager conference call in my district today about changes in bonus structure and salary caps. I was distracted so only got bits and pieces but from what I gathered changes includes:
  • No more stock option - will be replaced by some other form of compensation (who knows what)
  • New salary cap for staff and pic - something about if you're at the top/near the top of cap you probably won't be seeing a merit increase
  • Change in pay scale - probably affects new hire and how much they will be offered
There was probably more that was mentioned but she lost me at the beginning when she mentioned "a lot of new pharmacist in the market" and "other company already stop giving raises."

No stock option?

Really gives one an incentive to bust their ass.

They finally follow Walgreen pay freeze and salary cut for new hires. The last refuge is no more.

As if there weren't more disincentive to give less of a ****

It was only a matter of time. Their stock is crap anyway so that's not a big loss.

Honestly CVS won’t be a bad long-term stock. I don’t like the company nor their unethical practice, but it’s hard to deny their business acumen. They always seem to be a step ahead of everyone.

Also, the top performers who earn an Outstanding or Exceeds Expectation will earn higher raises if they are under average rates.

Incentives for the new grads..
