Greetings,

I don't travel much and I was just wondering if I could get some help in traveling to CWRU from anyone living in the area or anyone that has previously gone there for an interview.

Right now, I'm planning to stay in Doubletree Hotel Lakeside and I will use their shuttle to go to CWRU.

I'm not sure which airport to select. I going to call the hotel for their opinion later today, but any other opinion would be appreciated.

Also, I probably have to rent a car. Was wondering how the traffic is around there, and if it snows around late August(Worried about driving in snow. Live in Southern California, so never had to do.)

Also, if you have any travel advice there, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Lol it doesn't snow in August in Cleveland. Sorry I'm not familiar with the area so can't answer the other q's.

There's really one major airport in Cleveland (Hopkins International = CLE). You could also fly into Canton-Akron (CAK) but that's over an hour away. Make sure you read the Information for Interviewing Candidates.

And if you live in Southern California, traffic around here is going to be a comparative cakewalk unless there is some construction project (or they're filming Captain America/The Avengers and shut down parts of the city for four weeks like they did this spring/summer). You could do okay without a car. There is a Twitter "list" I set up for traffic conditions in the area (signature file below).

If it snows in late August, climate change has hit us way too quickly.

Wow Cleveland just got so much cooler 😎

Fly into CLE and then take the redline (?) all the way to Case Western. It will drop you off right behind the campus.

Try to stay at the fraternity! Case Western was by far the cheapest interview I attended last year.

Also, if you stay at the fraternity (assuming they are still doing that this year), they give you really great advice about the interview. And they do p90x in the morning! haha!

Thanks a lot Dr. Chuck and everyone for answering my questions. This puts my mind at ease!
