Hi there,

I took Human Phys last quarter got a D, taking it again, got a horrible midterm grade. The same professor, same style. I thought I'd be better and I truly did my best, but I ended up with a 40% for first midterm. I need above 50% in all tests to pass the class.
Last time I took the class I was barely cutting it 46%~ etc., but didn't make the cut.
It is not a prerequisite course for any of the pharmacy schools I've interviewed. I'm at a point where I'm exhausted and I've done all I can to this class, it's affecting my life and I'm thinking of just withdrawing it. Currently doing interviews.
Any thoughts guys?

Do you have anatomy&physiology?

Human phys is physiology right? Do any of the schools you are interviewing with require a&p?

I don't want to be the barer of bad news, but to be a medical professional requires a keen understanding of the human body and how it works. If you are incompetent and simply cannot grasp this, or you just don't care enough to try, then it is time to do some re-evaluation. Everyone has a path in life, and if you still think pharmacy is for you, then go for it, but don't be disappointed when you don't get accepted because you didn't try your best.

Ok then I guess it doesn't matter then now does it? If physiology is not a requirement, it shouldn't matter to the schools you are currently interviewing with whether you drop the class or finish out the semester. Seems like a waste to me. Just to be sure I would talk to an advisor though. However, from what I understand physiology is a big part of every pharmacy schools curriculum so if you are having a hard time now, what will it be like for you in the future? Something to think about.
