How much would a D in a prereq affect medical school admission? I messed up on my final and the professor was being anal and gave me a D. I really dont want to retake the course.

Considering the lowest you can get in a pre-req is a C, you really have no choice. With that said, a D in a pre-req without being retaken sometime before application/matriculation WILL keep you out of medical school in the U.S. And when you do retake, be sure to get an A.

Must be the professor's fault...

Can you even get credit for a course with a D? It's been a while for me, but I thought that a C- was as low as my school allowed to "pass".

Seconded. You need to retake and do well this time around.

I'm sort of in the same position. I got a D+ in a pre-req. I am retaking because I know I have to asnd I want to improve. I'm so worried; what if I don't get an A?
