So earlier I thought Id pull through with a B- in Gen Chem II and I had a B- all the way up to the final then it became a D. I passed with a B+ in the lab. I also made a C in Calc I and I had an B+ before final.

Last semester I made a B+ in Gen Chem I and a B in lab.

I know I have to retake the lecture class to satisfy pre-req requirements but I have Ochem I and Calc II and a couple other classes for next semester. Can I go through with Ochem and then maybe retake Gen Chem II in the future. How would admissions see that.

Thanks for advice

i actually had a very similar thing happen to me, but with lower grades all around. feel free to take your orgo and your calc, and just make sure to ROCK the chem retake. aim for an A!! you can do it!

Can you even continue on to organic without getting better than a C- in gen chem? At my undergrad you had to pass both gen chem courses before you could continue on to o chem.

Same.

Just know that organic chemistry is not going to be easier than gen chem. You really need to evaluate your study skills if you're serious about the pre-med route.
