D.O. fast-track internships

Question - I am preparing to apply for residencies. In looking at many of the D.O. residency applications, they require that you check a box that you are either applying for an internship or a residency. What do you do if you are applying for a fast-track internship? Evidently you would check the internship box. But, how do they (the program) know, upon receiving your application, that you are applying for a fast-track and in what specialty?

I had this trouble when I applied too. Best thing to do is call/e-mail the programs and ask them what they prefer. Each program is different to add to the confusion.
