One of the major state universities in my homestate is hosting an recruiting event sponsored by AACOM , where you will have an opportunity to meet w/medical school admission officers, students and AACOM staff. There will also be a open forum discussion. Are there any questions I should try to address while I am there , bear in mind , I am about two years from applying. And is a tie appropriate for this occasion?

I had a similar meeting with UC Davis SOM at my college. Don't expect to get any information that you don't already know providing you've done your research, and in fact, double check everything the person says because I was told some things which I don't believe are true. I would not wear a tie to something like this; from your description it sounds like an informal environment for people to ask questions and receive answers.
