Hello everyone and happy new year!

I'm a 3rd year medical student hoping to match in radiology next year. I was just wondering if there is an easy way of seeing what allopathic programs accepted D.O.'s into their programs in the recent past? So far I've just been going to each individual school's website and digging up their resident list.

As much as I'd like to "unite the clans" with a pioneering attitude and try to charge my way into a traditionally M.D.-only residency...it's still good to know the battleground persay. Naivete isn't a good thing 🙂

So maybe some of you have first-hand knowledge of some programs that will look at my D.O. application? I just want a great radiology program with great people in it, that's all!

Thanks in advance, everyone.

I would say best bet is too look around on the webpages to be honest....so far however, I have seen a DO in or graduated from most programs I have talked to or been too.

Plus my friends, mostly NY, have seen the same.

ps - I wouldn't waste your time trying to find it out beforehand, may as well send the app for the $100 and just find out the old fashioned way... plus there is always a first for everything and everywhere.

It is not worth it to apply to some programs that would never consider taking a D.O. It is worth it to try to apply to a few programs that you have always dreamed of going to, just to try. With the average radiology candidate applying to 30+ programs, it gets superexpensive to apply to programs that would not even consider taking a D.O. That auntminnie post is the best source that I have seen around.
