What would be the product if:
1) enthanal reacting with OD- (ex)/D2O ?
2) formaldehyde reacting with OD- (ex)/D2O?

What are the properties of heavy water?

What is the catalyst?- just curious and where did u see the questions? Heavy water has a very strong bond therefore to dissociate it to form DO- will take more energy and more time. Im guessing the reaction will take place over a very long time.
