A.canines only
B.LI only
C.canines &LI
D.canines & 1st pms

ANS:C😕

Q:WHICH ROOT SURFACE DEPRESSION ON A MAXILLARY 1ST MOLAR POSSESSES A CONCAVITY THAT TRAVELS FROM CERVICAL 3RD OF THE CROWN ONTO THE ROOT SURFACE?

A.lingual
B.facial
c.mesial
D.distofacial

😕
Q: IN AN ACQUIRED CLASS 3 CROSSBITE RELATIONSHIP,AS THE MANDIBLE RETRUDES,THE MAX. LAT. INCISOR CONTACTS WHICH OF THE FOLLOWING TEETH?

a. CI
b. LI
c. CI & LI
d. CANINE & LI

ANS: d

Q: ON THE NON WORKING SIDE IN AN IDEAL OCCLUSION,INTERFERING CONTACTS ON POSTERIOR TEETH WILL BE LOCATED ON WHICH INCLINES OF WHICH CUSPS?

inclines cusps

All the answers are right ( I am not 100% sure about the I one as I am still thinking).
Reg. Q.2 -> it should be distolingual.

All the answers are right ( I am not 100% sure about the I one as I am still thinking).
Reg. Q.2 -> it should be distolingual.

the answers are according to the board papers but i need to understand the questions.........

in the 1st q -- the mandibular teeth alwayz oppose its counter tooth and a tooth mesial to it. according to q1 ,in ideal occlusion, the mandibular canine should oppose the maxillary canine[its counter tooth and the maxillary lateral incisor] BUT in case of class 2 relation the mandibular contact are moved distally, due to protrusion of the mandible the contacts appear ideal as class1.so ans is correct c.

2q. the concavity present the maxillary 1st molar is on the distobuccal side which starts cervically and extends on the root surface. so correct ans is distofacial.

3q. as the 1stq ,similarly class3 crossbite relation ,on mandibular retrusion ,becomes class 1 .i.e . max lateral opposes mand canine and mand LI ,coz max teeth opposes its counter tooth and the distal tooth.
4q. the interfering contacts on supporting cusps are the inner inclines.i simply came acroos that q too. i dont kno the explanation to it, though, hope it helps.
thanks
