Does this exist? Ideally a policy I can call them the day or a few days before to tell them which days I'm working.

Not interested in paying for a part time or full time policy and then pay a massive tail for potentially only doing 10 days of locums/moonlighting.

Would rather pay a pricier daily occurrence policy, and if this becomes something more regular, then would consider a part time policy.

This is for some office based anesthesia, so not something I can make a locums company coverage.

Thanks!

I doubt it. Would be like a daily property insurance.

Your best bet is part time malpractice insurance. Would only be 2-5k annually depending on the state. Minimal expense

Not really same as daily property

You tell them the day before your shift and sign up. Can't wait till the day is over and retroactively cover yourself. Sounds amazing in my mind! Haha id even be open to paying a premium doing the a la carte style ha.

My issue with the part time is paying the tail at the end. Already did this once a few years back unfortunately. Did part time malpractice, initially was working 10-20 hours a week, ended up finding other more profitable gigs that covered me under their insurance

Then had to pay a hefty tail to get out of my part time coverage that wasn't being used anymore.

No tail if occurance based. Just get a part-time occurrence based policy

Yes this does exist through Nationwide Anesthesia Services and underwritten by an A rated carrier. Here's a short discussion from my site: Per Diem Malpractice Insurance for Anesthesiologists, CRNAs | Tony Vullo
