Hi guys. I am a U Michigan grad now living in NY who bounced from Engineering to Pre-Health with a Neuroscience/Psych degree. I wanted to get everything done in 4 years and it killed my GPA (2.9). Now I've been working in the Dental field shadowing several dentists (prost, ortho, OS, general), have done a lot of volunteering home and abroad, and have been studying for the DAT. My scheduled date is 5/26 only 2 weeks away. I set it for this date because I'm trying to give it a shot to apply for next Sept. and plan to re-take Orgo I, Gen Chem II or P Chem, Biochem (Never taken previously), and Physics II to boost my GPA and show I am capable of 4 pointing them. But with a garbage GPA, I know I need to kill this DAT to get looked at. I have been getting mid- to upper- 20's on PAT and QR, and 20's on RC but I'm still down to a 17-19 on Sciences. Do you think it's better for me to push back the DAT another 3-4 weeks to try to get the sciences up but then won't retake/take a Summer I session course or just continue studying the next 2 weeks as I have been (all day, everyday) and hope to get it up to a 21 on the sciences. I'm very torn and hope someone with more admissions knowledge than I have will give me some good advice. Thanks

Seriously, push it back. It's not hard to pull up those sciences. If you get your DAT up more, you will have used that time wisely. If you do really well on the DAT, you have a much better chance. You sound like you are really close to getting that DAT up there..so it would be most beneficial for you to take those final weeks and really work at those sciences. If you take it now, you might need a retake anyways.
