DAT Application and Test Dates

I completed an application to take the DAT on July 10th, thinking I was going to the take the test some time in the Fall semester. However, rethinking my schedule, I might want to take the test sometime in late January to prepare more. I haven't registered for a testing date yet, but my DAT application only allows me to schedule for a test up to January 10th. (I'm guessing I can only register for a date up to 6 months later??) Do any of yall know if there is a possibility of taking the test later than January 10th using the same DAT application? If so, how?

I really don't want to pay another $400 something...

Yes, they give you a 6 month window from the time you pay to take the test. Your best bet is to call the ADA and ask if anything can be done, or just take it January 1-10th. $450 is a lot and most people don't have it laying around, but if you're not able to move it then create a study schedule accordingly, study for the next ~5 ish months balancing with school, and just take it January! I'm planning to take it in January too, and made this study schedule to help keep me on track – I'm dividing the next 6 or so months into 4 quarters, and spreading my resources out among those quarters. We're probably using different resources (I'm on a budget!), but sharing here in case it's helpful at all! DAT Study Schedule

You're correct that it's a 6 month limit from your initial registration date. The only time I've seen them extend it beyond that is under specific extenuating circumstances (e.g. death in the family around the time of the test).

hahaha I knowww~ argh. Goodbye social life? Luckily it's still *kind of* a ways off. I have friends who only studied for a few weeks and did well, and I'm like...how???!

I know rightt and oh man. Only a few weeks?! that's crazy.

I'm just going to try to review a bit each week and then use the final weeks during winter break to wrap things up. Hopefully, we both do fine!! haha
