DAT/Application Question

I posted this in the "DAT" Forum as well but no one is really viewing that forum right now... so I'll ask here too.

I signed up for the DAT for June and I regret having chosen to send my scores to school "X". I'd like to replace school "X" with school "U". Is it possible to replace a school if I haven't taken the DAT yet, or am I forced to just add school "U" with the ADA and not apply to school "X" with AADSAS?

If you do not want school "X" to see your DAT, I don't see why that can't be arranged. If school "U" is where you want it to go, and not school "X" - I see it as a matter of exchange between school "X" and school "U".

I'm sure it's possible to exchange - might cost you some dollars though

Why don't you just not apply to school "X" and just add school "U" with ADA

It is $10 to add a school; you can't remove or replace schools once you have added them (same thing happened to me). Be glad you realized this now before AADSAS takes more of your money 🙂.

THE CONS OF APPLYING EARLY !!!
early as in the first couple of hours applications are released

GUYS/GALS - take your time filling out the application - send it out by the end of the month - YOU WILL BE FINE - and still considered early for application!!!

not trying to post wrong info here - still apply early - that is for sure - by end of this month is OK

Well - it kind of does have to do with the AADSAS - since this is the application you decide where you want to apply.

no, it does not. it has to do with the DAT. I don't see him saying he picked the wrong school on the AADSAS form, just on the DAT registration.

It's perfectly allright - we have a difference of opinion - a difference of opinion is what keeps forums like this stimulating and interesting.

As DrTacoElf stated you cannot exchange nor remove which schools will receive your DAT scores - you can only add them. Thus if you don't want to apply to school "X" but have them listed on your DAT registration they will get your DAT scores. If you want to apply to school "U" then you will have to pay the $10 fee to the ADA to add them. If you don't list school "X" with AADSAS then they will only receive your DAT scores and not your application.
